Depart Manila – Paris
Departure at NAIA Terminal 1- via Etihad Airline for your flight to Paris. Enjoy meals amenities and entertainment.
|2||Arrive – Paris
Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel for check in. The rest of the days is free on your own pace.
After breakfast, you will have a full day sightseeing tour of Paris, visiting the most important land mark. Your local guide will show you the highlights of the city with an outside view of Notre Dame Cathedral, entrance to the Louvre Museum, Champs Elysees, Arch of Triumph, The Opera, Concorde Square, Vendome Square and visit the Eiffel Tower for pho opt. The in the afternoon, transfer to the Montmartre district. This neighborhood is known for its painters, artists, and its cabarets… Then transfer to Galleries La Fayette and Fragonard Perfumery for shopping.
|4||Paris – Versailles Palace – Paris
After breakfast, transfer to Versailles Palace, The Palace of Versailles has been listed as a World Heritage Site for 30 years and is one of the greatest achievements in French 17th century art. Louis XIII’s old hunting pavilion was transformed and extended by his son, Louis XIV, when he installed the Court and government there in 1682. A succession of kings continued to embellish the Palace up until the French Revolution. Then dinner and back to hotel.
|5||Paris – Giverny – Rouen – Arromanches – Caen
Early departure from Paris. We travel towards Normandy, stopping in GIVERNY. We include tickets for Monet’s house and its impressive gardens; we talk about Impressionist art, which had its centre in Normandy. After this, ROUEN, the capital of Normandy with its mediaeval streets and cathedral, time for a stroll and lunch. We go on to ARROMANCHES, on its beaches we remember the World War II landings in France. We continue to CAEN. Time for a stroll in the centre.
|6||Caen – Mont Saint Michel – St. Malo – Dinan – Rennes
First thing in the morning we travel to MONT SAINT MICHEL “the Marvel”, time to see the town surrounded by the sea and the Abbey. After this, in Brittany, we travel to SAINT MALO, whose powerful walls defend the city, and where we have time for lunch. In the afternoon a stroll in DINAN, a ‘Breton’ village full of charm. We go on our way to RENNES, the capital of Brittany with its interesting and monumental historic center.
|7||Rennes – Angers – Tours – Villandry – Amboise
We will leave for ANGERS. Those who want can visit the castle that houses the largest mediaeval tapestry on the Apocalypse. After this we go on to the Loire Valley: TOURS the regional capital on the banks of the Loire River, time for a stroll and lunch. In the afternoon we will see the VILLANDRY PALACE, famous for its gardens and flowers. Tickets to the garden are included in the price. Continuation to AMBOISE, where in the castle of Clos Luce, Leonardo da Vinci spent his last 3 years before his death. Dinner and accommodation.
|8||Amboise – Chenonceau – Chambord – Argenton – Limoges
A stroll around Amboise and the stop by the statue of Leonardo da Vinci, on an island of the Loire. We will see the Loire region in a little more depth. We include tickets to the CASTLE of CHENONCEAU, in the shape of a bridge over the river. We will see CHAMBORD, the largest of the castles of the Loire (ticket to the park included). We will then travel to the centre of France. A stop for a coffee in ARGENTON SUR CREUSE, a small mediaeval town on the banks of the river Creuse. We continue to LIMOGES, where we recommend to visit and see its cathedral.
|9||Limoges – Collonge La Rouge – Padirac – Rocamadour
After breakfast, you will visit with the local guide of the city, its cathedral, its old station and the Porcelain Museum (entrance included) where one of the most beautiful porcelain collections of the world is found. We continue to COLLONGE LA ROUGE, a very picturesque village built in Redstone on the Way of St James. Time for lunch. After lunch we see the impressive PADIRAC caves and take a boat trip 75 metres underground (tickets included with the boat trip on the underground river). ROCAMADOUR, a beautiful mediaeval village with an important sanctuary “hung” on a hillside; we suggest a stroll down via Crucis and the climb back up by lift. Dinner included.
|10||Rocamadour – Rogue Gageac – Beynac Castle – Sarlat – St. Emilion – Bordeaux
We are now in the region of the Dordogne, another of the great historic rivers of central France. Few regions contain so many charming villages and so much unforgettable scenery. A stroll around LA ROQUE GAGEAC, a small village full of flowers on the banks of the Dordogne. In BEYNAC we see a mediaeval castle overhanging the river (with ticket). SARLAT, a city listed as Heritage of mankind, maintains an incredibly well-preserved Renaissance historic centre, time for a stroll and lunch. After lunch we travel to ST. EMILION, in the centre of the Bordeaux wine producing region. Time for a stroll. We include a visit to an ancient wine establishment, with tasting included. BORDEAUX, and dinner.
|11||Bordeaux – Lourdes
In the morning, we include a two-hour tour of BORDEAUX with a local guide, visiting its center and the Port of the Moon, which was declared Heritage of Mankind. The eleventh-century cathedral, the grand Theatre of Bordeaux, the monument to the Girondins and the Place Royale all stand out. After lunch, transfer to Lourdes, then check in and dinner.
The highlight of the tour is the sanctuary; Basilica of St Pius X, and the baths where hundreds of miraculous cures have taken place. See Boly Mill where St Bernadette was born and the “Cachot,” an abandoned prison where Bernadette’s impoverished family lived. You may also attend the evening procession in honor of Our Lady. The whole day is free.
|13||Lourdes – Paris – Manila
After breakfast, ride again in a TGV train going back to Paris. Then transfer to the airport for your flight back to Manila.
